  1. Perhaps I will blog this style point myself, but “David Daniels, a countertenor” struck me as a very odd way to refer to a famous singer. “The countertenor David Daniels” or “David Daniels, the countertenor” is what I’d expect.
    When another famous singer got married, the Times put it this way: “Lindsey Larsen, a soprano, and Samuel Ramey, the bass…”
